THE SCARS ARE FADING
A Kyoko Kirigiri Fanzine

ABOUT

THE SCARS ARE FADING is a non-profit (charity) fan passion project celebrating the Ultimate Detective: Kyoko Kirigiri! This project includes a zine book alongside fan merchandise and a fan card game. The zine will take place in canon, with limited canon divergence, and throughout cross-game interaction, all depicting Kyoko as the central figure. Platonic interactions will mainly be portrayed, such as between Kyoko & classmates or Kyoko & her father Jin, with a minimal amount of romance allowed. The zine will be presented with a casebook theme, loosely following Kyoko's case files. Our charity has been announced! We will be donating our proceeds to the Palestine Children's Relief Fund.Preorders are now Closed! Thank you very much for your support.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a zine?A zine is a "maga"zine, a booklet typically hand-made. Nowadays, the term "zine" has become synonymous with fan projects that are produced into high-quality books alongside merchandise, sometimes referred to as fanzines. How do I get in?Applications are now closed; responses have been emailed out as of January 7.Is there a limit on contributors?Unfortunately, yes. Due to the nature of our smaller physical zine, we will not have the room to accept every talented and skilled creative interested in joining our project. How will contributors be compensated? Our zine is going to be for-charity! We will be donating to the Palestine Children's Relief Fund.As for contributors' compensation, so long as sales break even, it is in our team's best interests to provide a free physical copy of the zine - and, if possible, a full bundle including merch - to contributors. At the very least, a free PDF and all digital merch will be provided for contributors.Help! You didn't answer my question!Feel free to either send an email to [email protected] or ask our curiouscat!
